2009 Thistle Hill Organic Shiraz Cabernet, Virginia, South Au
The 2009 Thistle Hill Organic Shiraz Cabernet, Virginia, South Australia, was sitting on Lismore’s Dan Murphy’s organic, preservative-free and/or vegan-suitable wine shelves (in the cheaper area). ‘Wow, pretty amazing,’ said my drinking partner, because it had quite a distinct taste: fruity with jam high on the palate, almost as smooth as silk. The smell was jammy too, almost burnt, but with cherry and raspberry.
